How It Works & FAQ

Gentle answers, when you need them

Creating a memorial for someone you love shouldn’t be complicated. Here’s how GhostBook works and the questions we’re asked most — and if there’s anything else on your mind, we’re always glad to talk it through.

What is a GhostBook page?

+

It's an online memorial — a single, lasting page that honors someone who has passed. It holds their photo, their story, the memories that mattered, and a shared guest book where the people who loved them can leave tributes and light a candle.

Who is it for?

+

Anyone who wants a quiet, permanent place to remember a loved one — a parent, a grandparent, a partner, a friend, even a beloved pet. It's built for families and friends to visit together, from anywhere.

How do I create one?

+

Start on the Create page and tell us about your loved one through a gentle form. You don't need everything at once — send what you have, and we'll shape it into a page and follow up if anything's missing.

Can other people add memories?

+

Yes. Every page has a Ghost Book — a place where visitors can leave a tribute or a memory of their own. It's how a page keeps growing as more people come to remember together.

Is the page private or public?

+

That's up to you. You'll receive a link you can share with exactly the people you choose, or list the page so others searching for your loved one can find it. You decide who's invited to remember.

How much does it cost?

+

Creating a memorial is a one-time offering, and there's no subscription to keep it online. Tell us what you're looking for on the Create page and we'll walk you through the simple details.

Can I make changes later?

+

Of course. Grief isn't tidy, and neither is memory. You can send us updates, new photos, or corrections any time, and we'll fold them into the page.
